Upcoming Events in South Texas

These two events coming up really caught my eye. First off the Texas Game Warden Association has some wonderful programs in addition to a variety of events for the entire family. This particular event is a fishing tournament for all ages. Not only can you bring your entire family to the music festival, but everyone has something to do at the event. Dress For Success Corpus Christi has been a staple in the community for several years now. They provide a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.

I personally know many of the volunteers in this organization and see what a tremendous difference they make in the lives of women of that community. Dress For Success Corpus Christi works with a diverse group of non-profit and government agencies-including homeless shelters, job training programs, educational institutions and domestic violence shelters, among many others. Women are being referred to this organization for suiting, career counseling and our full continuum of services. At the end of the day Dress for Success volunteers work to empower women to achieve economic independence and help them accomplish a path to a successful future.
